Zaid Bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: We took Sahur (light meal before the break of dawn) with the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him), we then stood up for prayer. I said, how much time was there between the two acts, he said, the time it takes to recite fifty verses of the Qur’an. (Muslim)

عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ تَسَحَّرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قُمْنَا إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ قُلْتُ كَمْ كَانَ قَدْرُ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا قَالَ خَمْسِينَ آيَةً. (مسلم)

Sep 12

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Take Suhur (small meal before dawn); for in the Suhur there is a blessing. (Muslim)

عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَسَحَّرُوا فَإِنَّ فِي السُّحُورِ بَرَكَةً.(مسلم)
